Ankara Yildirim Beyazit University

Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University (AYBU) is a young university established in 2010 as the fifth state university in Ankara, capital city of Turkey. AYBU is actively in the service of research and education with 12 campuses located in Ankara. The main campus is in the historical area of Ankara, Esenboğa District, and Etlik.

With 12 faculties, 1 conservatory, 3 vocational schools, 5 graduate schools and 15 research centers, AYBU offers 49BS programs and 122 graduate programs and there are 10178 undergraduate students and 4060 graduate students.

AYBU has positioned itself as an international university by signing bilateral agreements with 162 international universities. There are 1394 international students from 85 countries. With its international bachelor student rate, AYBU is experiencing the right proud of being placed on the top among the universities in Turkey.

The experienced, active and dynamic academic staff of AYBU consists of academicians who obtained their undergraduate/graduate degrees from the pioneer universities of USA, Europe and Turkey. With almost 500 faculty members and more than 1000 academic staff in total, the university has managed to advance its academic human resources perfectly. The university has been taking significant steps to position itself among the pioneer universities. The undergraduate placement examinations results show that AYBU is placed within the first 10 Turkish universities. Besides, according to the number of academic publication per faculty member between the years 2013-2016, AYBU has been ranked number 9 among state and private Turkish universities (Academic productivity of universities in Turkey, Erkurt (2016)). Considering that international and interinstitutional cooperation improves quality at institutional and scientific basis and increasing number of cooperation projects has a key role in strategic planning. The University's aims at becoming a world class university.
